For Ranger Foundation donations, see Donations below.
Jan 25 Update from RF President Lynch: I am quite happy to report that the Ranger Foundation has exceeded its goal in support of the park victims in the LA fires! The generous support of many people has resulted in $30,000 being donated for the fire victim relief effort.
No additional donations will be needed at this point.
In addition, the California State Park Foundation has made a matching fund donation of $19,000 to the Ranger Foundation, so that fire victims can receive double the up to $1,000 initially available grants. So, many thanks to the CSPF for their support of the state park family!
A final report on all the disaster grants will be provided once all the grants are made. If there are funds not expended for this disaster, they will remain in the Ranger Foundation Disaster Relief Fund for use in future disasters. Again, many thanks ❤️ to all the generous donors! Mike Lynch
The Ranger Foundation has provided over $76,000 in emergency grants to eighty-seven CA Park Families due to losses from the 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2025 CA wildfires. We are requesting your individual donation to keep these grants going.
To help victims of the latest wildfire disaster the Ranger Foundation will offer "instant" grants (up to $1,000) to reimburse park workers (including volunteers, seasonal, and retirees) who have suffered loss due to the current and future wildfires. The Ranger Foundation is making this financial help readily available, with a minimum paperwork. The only thing victims need to do is send an e-mail stating their wildfire related circumstances and copies of receipts for any expenses they have related to their loss. This can be for emergency lodging, replacement uniforms, replacement of personal items lost in the fire (for instance personal mobile phone, clothing, loss of a personal vehicle, etc.) and almost any other direct expense related to their loss.
All Ranger Foundation disaster grant requests should be directed to
