Our Purpose
The primary purpose of the Foundation is to promote and support parks and protected areas and the individuals and groups associated with parks and protected areas, on local, state, national and international levels.

Support for Latin American Ranger COVID-19 Victims
Support for Equipment
Support for Disaster Victims
Provided twenty-six grants totalling $13,000 for COVID-19 relief to families of Latin American park rangers who died of COVID-19 as a result of working to protect their parks during the pandemic.
The Ranger Foundation has provided financial support for Rangers in Peru, Venezuela and Dominican Republic for much needed radios, binoculars, boots, GPS units, and safety helmets.
The Foundation, in conjunction with California State Park Rangers Association, granted over $74,000 in disaster relief grants to 84 members of the CA Park Family who lost their homes and property or faced evacuations in the 2018, 2020 and 2021 CA wildfires.
Support for Fallen Rangers
The Foundation, in conjunction with California State Park Rangers Association and Association of National Park Rangers, has provided $9,500 in grants for financial support to the families of nineteen fallen Park Rangers, killed in the line of duty protecting their parks in Mexico, Peru, Columbia, and Paraguay. *

Support for the
Pink Bear Program
The Foundation, in conjunction with the California State Park Rangers Association and the California State Parks Anniversary Committee, working with California State Parks on the National Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Bear patch project, has successfully raised $21,940 in donations to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation since 2018. These donations were from sales related to the CA State Parks Pink Bear Patch and pin program.
100% of all sales are donated.

World Ranger Day
The Foundation has provided financial support for World Ranger Day celebrations in CA at San Mateo Coast (2018), Yosemite NP (2019), Donner Memorial State Park (2020), Mono Lake (2021), San Diego (2022)
and Point Reyes in 2023 .
The Foundation, in conjunction with California State Park Rangers Association, raised over $20,000 to provide scholarships to Latin American Rangers to attend the World Ranger Congress in Nepal, in November 2019.
